Muy claros los conseptos, felicitaciones, voy a intentar construir la segunda version pues mis equipos no superan los 150 W. 73 de CX1NU.

I spend a little time looking at circuits in Pinterest almost every day sometimes to my wife's dismay as I get side tracked back to the good old days remembering my grandfather and uncle teaching me all about building radios and so much more.

Time waits for no man however so I often have to tear myself away so as to get some present day work done before I get in real trouble with She who must be obeyed and regarded.

Anything technical, I just love it, keep up the wonderful work of reminding people of how much fun simple electronics could be.[smile]

Just did a fast look but really enjoyed the website.  Didn't see any how to join information, if I missed it please let me know.  I live about a 100 miles from Waco so may not qualify?

Loved the recycled electrons comment!

All the best.

Which page are you viewing? all your one tube transmiters. Great site.

Comments:
Not sure how I found this site but I am sure glad I did. I really enjoyed all of your old home brew transmitters. Brought back some old memories when I got my Novice back in 1964.
Located in the area of Point, Texas.

I sent an email, but I'll repeat my question for the benefit of the community.

"
I'm a new ham KI5WVR in Paige, TX. I'm also a 68 yo EE. I built things like this when I was in my early teens, but got into audio and then digital
where I have been for 50 yr. i'm constructing something similar, there is another posting online @ ham_6L6 (qsl.net) by K4GC
Both your's and his at for 40m. His is an adaptation of the Ameco AC-1.

I have calculated the inductance for each and both are in the range of ~ 4 uH. I did a Thevinin eqiv calc for the output impedance of the 6l6
to be matched and it came to around 3100 ohms, which is in the ball park for a single ended audio stage with a 6l6.

Now here's the part I don't understand, and maybe made a gross error or am missing something. In order for the inductor to have that reactance
at ~7.1 MHz, it would need to be about 71 uH.

Could you pls explain to me what is wrong with my thinking? I bought one of the B&W 3007 inductors specified in the K4GC circuit. He has no email so I can't ask him.
Since both your circuits use ~ the same value, it would seem that it must be correct. "

Wonderful article, supeb knowledge of what you're speaking about, pretty implementation.
I built some regenerative receivers for SW. Some using transistors and one using a single ancient tube DF21 (with a 1.5 V battery for filament and 5x9 V for the anode). It worked, but very "weakly".
I'll take many ideas from your project using an ECC8x...
Best regards,
Jordi.

I built the same rig back in 1974 as a novice and still have the 1957 Handbook somewhere. I also still have the transmitter, or what’s left of it. this inspires me to rebuild it… beautiful construction. 73’s de W1AEK/6
